The Hartland Herb Carousel

Solid pine · 20 jars · turns on a bearing
£75

A bench-top spice carousel in solid pine. Holds twenty standard herb and spice jars across four faces, lid on top to keep the dust out. Sat on a smooth ball-bearing so a fingertip is enough to spin it round to the jar you want — no pulling things out, no rummaging. Sized to fit comfortably under most wall-cabinets.

The piece, in numbers
Materials
Solid pine throughout. Steel ball-bearing in the base. No metal fixings on show.
Dimensions
200mm wide · 200mm deep · 500mm tall.
Weight
Around 2 kg empty. Comfortable to lift one-handed even fully loaded.
Finish
Hand-oiled. Optional waxed finish; ages gently with a kitchen's wear.
Up close
Three-quarter view of the herb carousel showing two faces of jars and the lipped wooden lid on top.
All four faces, all in reach. Five jar slots per face across four faces — no jar more than a quarter-turn from your hand.
The same carousel turned to a different position, with another set of spice jars now facing the front.
Spins on a bearing. A steel ball-bearing in the base means a light push moves the whole rack — no sticking, no scraping the worktop.
Common questions

Things people often ask.

Do the jars come with it?

Not as standard — most kitchens already have a drawer's worth of half-empty supermarket jars, and the carousel is sized to fit those. We can supply a set of empty jars on request; ask when you order.

What size jar fits?

Standard supermarket spice jars — roughly 40mm in diameter, 80mm tall. Schwartz, Bart, Tesco own-brand and the like all sit happily. If you've a favourite jar that's a touch larger, send dimensions and we'll resize the slots.

Can it be customised?

Yes. We can change the number of slots (taller for more, wider for bigger jars), drop the height for under-cabinet kitchens, or go up to 24 jars if you want a slightly larger version. Initials or a name can be burned discreetly into the base.

How long does it take?

Standard size and finish ship in about a fortnight. Customised versions take 3–4 weeks depending on what's been changed.

How do we look after it?

Wipe with a dry cloth; the oiled finish is forgiving. Once a year a quick re-oil keeps it looking fresh — we send a small bottle of the same oil along with the carousel.

Do you deliver?

Yes, anywhere in the UK. Royal Mail tracked, usually two to three working days.
