A long, low media unit drawn for the living-room wall. Four storage cubes sit symmetrically about a stepped centrepiece — open shelving sized to carry a turntable, an amplifier, a games console or whatever else needs a home and a power lead. The cubes flanking it are perfectly proportioned for vinyl, DVDs, books and the rest of life's odds and ends.

Made in solid pine, oiled to a soft satin finish, with no doors and nothing to hide behind — it's furniture that reads as honest from across the room. 2,300mm wide, up to 800mm tall and 450mm deep at its broadest point.

Up close
The stepped central tower of the media unit, with a turntable on top, an amplifier on the next shelf, a centre speaker below, and a subwoofer tucked in at the bottom.
A home for the kit. The centrepiece is shelved to carry an amplifier, turntable and consoles — anything you'd rather see than hide. The top step lifts the deck just clear of the cubes either side.
A close-up of one of the four storage cubes, showing the four open compartments — each sized to take a row of vinyl records, DVDs or hardback books.
Four cubes, four ways to fill them. Each compartment is sized so an LP slips in upright with a finger's width to spare. DVDs, paperbacks, board games, baskets — they all find a home without rattling around.
The Clovelly Media Center installed in the living room, the television above and floor-standing speakers either side, the room lit by daylight.
Built to live with. Symmetrical from the front, low enough to sit a wall-mounted television above, and broad enough that the floor-standing speakers tuck in neatly at either end.
Common questions

Things people often ask.

Can it be sized to my wall?

Yes — every Clovelly is drawn from the wall it'll sit on. Wider, narrower, taller, shorter, more cubes, fewer cubes. We measure on site (or work from your dimensions if you're further afield) before any timber is cut.

Will my turntable and amp fit?

The centre shelves are sized at the design stage to suit your kit. Send us a list of what you want to land on it — turntable, amp, consoles, soundbar — and we'll set the shelf heights and depths to match, with a little headroom for cables.

How does the cabling work?

A run of cable holes through the back of the centre tower keeps everything tidy. We can add a hidden plug-strip shelf if you'd rather not have an extension lead in view.

Are the cube shelves adjustable?

The cube divisions are fixed — that's what gives the piece its symmetrical, considered look. The centre tower shelves can be adjustable on brass pins if you'd rather change kit over time.

How long does it take?

Around 8–12 weeks from sign-off, depending on size. A fitting day is built into the back end if it needs final levelling on site.

Could I have it painted?

Yes — sea-glass, deep ocean, or any colour you mix to a sample. Painted media units take an extra fortnight for the finish to cure properly before delivery.

How do we look after it?

An annual re-oil keeps the pine fed; we send a tin along with the unit. A soft cloth between records once in a while and it'll look good for decades.
