The Appledore Coffee Table

Solid pine · 2 drawers · antique pine wax
Enquire for yours

A proper living-room coffee table in solid pine. The top is made from wide boards with rounded corners and a softened edge, finished in antique pine wax that warms the wood and brings out the grain and the knots.

Two drawers run along the front for the remotes, controllers and chargers that otherwise end up down the side of the sofa, so the top stays clear for mugs and books.

Up close
Side view of the coffee table showing its two front drawers with round pine knobs and square legs.
Built square and solid. Chunky square legs and a deep frame under the top, so it stays put when someone leans on it.
Both drawers pulled open, holding TV remotes and a games controller.
Two drawers, out of sight. Room for remotes, controllers and coasters, with round pine knobs to match.

Planked top, softened edges. Wide boards with rounded corners and a rounded edge, so there is nothing sharp to catch a shin.
Common questions

Things people often ask.

Can I have it a different size?

Yes. Each one is made to order in the workshop, so we can change the length, width and height to suit your room and the height of your sofa.

Can I choose a different finish?

Yes. It is shown here in antique pine wax, but we can go lighter or darker. Tell us what you have in mind when you get in touch.

Can it be delivered?

It is collection only, from our workshop at Unit 3 Pitt Lane, Bideford.

How do I look after it?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and use coasters for hot mugs. A fresh coat of wax once or twice a year keeps it looking its best.
