Who we are
Pebbles and Pine is run by Robert Pink, a sole trader, from Unit 3 Pitt Lane, Bideford, EX39 3JA. Robert decides how the details you give us are used (the "data controller"). For anything about your data, email hello@pebblesandpine.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
When you get in touch
Through the contact or bespoke forms: your name and email, your phone number and postcode if you give them, your message, measurements and any photos you send. We use them to reply, to quote, and to make your piece. We do this because you've asked us to, before we agree any order. Your photos are stored privately and never published; only we can open them.
When you buy something or pay a quote
Your name, email, contact and address details, and what you ordered. We need these to fulfil your order and to keep the accounts the law requires. Card payments are taken by Stripe on its own secure page; we never see or store your card details.
Notes from the workshop
If you sign up to our newsletter, we keep your email address to send it, about once a month. We only do this with your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or just tell us.
Analytics and advertising
Only if you say yes when the cookie banner asks: Google Analytics shows us how people use the site, and the Meta Pixel helps us measure and show our Facebook and Instagram adverts. You can change your mind any time in cookie settings.
Keeping the site running
Like any website, ours handles technical details such as your IP address and browser so that pages load and attacks are kept out. We have a legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted companies to run things. They handle your details only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores enquiry photos and order records.
- Brevo sends our emails and holds the newsletter list.
- Stripe takes card payments.
- Hostinger runs our email inbox.
- Google (Analytics) and Meta (Pixel), only if you agree to those cookies.
Some of these companies are based outside the UK or store data abroad. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires. We never sell your details.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and photos: as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If nothing comes of it, we delete them within a year.
- Orders: six years, because the tax rules say so.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Ours fall into three groups:
- Essential (always on): keep your basket working through checkout, remember your cookie choice, and keep us signed in when we update the site.
- Analytics (only if you agree): Google Analytics, to see which pages are useful.
- Marketing (only if you agree): the Meta Pixel, to measure our Facebook and Instagram adverts.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, ask us to stop or limit using them, or have a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@pebblesandpine.co.uk and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how we use your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
